Beginners (Mon 7.30pm-9.30pm)

Two 10 week courses are run every year, one beginning in October and one in March.
These cover:

• Computer Familiarisation
  - The Computer
  - Mouse
  - Keyboard
• Managing Your Computer
• Basic Word Processing
• Using the Internet
• Using E-mail

ECDL (Tues/Wed 7pm-9pm)
Next Course: Applications taken throughout the year

Each ECDL module is taught separately and takes approximately 5 classes to complete. Candidates have 3 years to complete all 7 ECDL modules and gain ECDL certification although most do it within a year. This class can be joined at any one of seven points in the year as it runs in a year round cycle; they can be joined at the beginning of a module if numbers allow. The seven modules are:

• Concepts of Information Technology
• Using the Computer and File Management
• Word Processing
• Spreadsheets
• Databases
• Presentation
• Information and Communication

Course Fees are €65 for all modules except Word Processing which costs €95.
The total cost for completing all 7 ECDL modules is €485.
